AnvesionTech VDI · Virtual desktop infrastructure

Every desktop, delivered. Nothing left on the device.

AnvesionTech VDI is self-hosted VDI software that delivers Windows and Linux desktops and apps from your own data centre to any browser, thin client or PC. Only pixels travel — your data never leaves your servers.

The problem → the answer

Fat clients scatter your data. VDI brings it home.

When every PC is its own little server, data, patches and risk spread across hundreds of desks. Virtual desktop infrastructure moves the desktop into the data centre and sends users only the screen.

  1. Fat-client sprawlHundreds of PCs, each drifting, each patched by hand.

One golden imagePatch once; every desktop in the pool follows.

  2. Data on the endpointA lost laptop is a lost customer file.

Data stays in the DCOnly pixels reach the device. Nothing to lose.

  3. Slow onboardingOrder, image and ship a PC before day one.

Ready at sign-inAdd the user to a group; a desktop is waiting.

  4. Risky remote workHome PCs on a flat VPN, straight into the network.

One desktop, not the networkA gateway exposes the session — nothing else.

How it works

From sign-in to desktop, in four moves.

01 · Sign in

Sign in from any device

Users open a browser tab or the native client and sign in through the secure gateway, with MFA and single sign-on. No desktop is ever exposed to the network.

02 · Entitlement

The broker checks who you are

The connection broker reads AD or LDAP users and groups and offers only the pools each person is entitled to.

03 · Placement

A desktop is ready, not booting

Sessions are load-balanced across hosts, onto pre-started spare desktops — so the desktop is there the moment you sign in.

04 · Remoting

Only pixels travel

An adaptive display protocol streams the screen. Disconnect at the office, reconnect at home — the same session is waiting.

Access

Connect from almost anything, over LAN or WAN.

  • Any browserHTML5 access, no client install
  • Native clientFor multi-monitor and devices
  • Thin clientsNew or repurposed PCs on SecureOS
  • Secure gatewayRemote access, desktops never exposed

Desktop types

One platform, four ways to deliver.

01 · Non-persistent

Pooled desktops

Users take any free desktop from a shared pool of identical clones. At logoff it resets to a clean image — ideal for shifts and shared seats.

02 · Persistent

Dedicated desktops

Each user is assigned their own desktop, which keeps installed apps and settings between sessions — for power users and developers.

03 · Multi-session

Shared multi-session desktops

Many users share one host, each in an isolated session — an efficient way to deliver a standard desktop to a large team.

04 · Applications

Published applications

Deliver a single app — an ERP client, a browser, an office suite — in its own window, without a full desktop. Every type runs on Windows and Linux pools.

Image & lifecycle

Patch one image. Every desktop follows.

  1. 01Build a golden imageA versioned Windows or Linux template.
  2. 02Clone the poolRapid clones provision desktops in bulk.
  3. 03Roll out the updateNon-persistent desktops refresh to v2 at logoff.
  4. 04Roll back, right-sizev1 is one step away; spares wait, idle desktops power off.

User experience

Feels local. Runs in the data centre.

Adaptive display protocol

Tuned on the fly for bandwidth and latency — sharp on the office LAN, responsive over home broadband and branch WAN.

Multi-monitor, high resolution

Span one desktop across several screens.

Webcam, mic & audio

Redirected for meetings; audio in and out.

USB, printers & drives

USB devices, local printers and client drive mapping.

Clipboard & file transfer

Copy and move files where each pool's policy allows.

GPU-accelerated desktops

GPU pools for design, CAD and media work.

Profiles that follow you

Profiles, home folders and folder redirection across sessions.

Security & policy

Only pixels leave. Policy decides the rest.

Applications and data run in your data centre; the endpoint receives an encrypted (TLS) picture of the screen. Each pool gets its own policy for what may cross that line.

Role-based admin; every action logged.

Operations

One console. Every session in view.

Pools, images, policy and people from a central admin console — with real-time monitoring of sessions, hosts and user experience such as login time and latency.

Who it's for

Built for teams that can't lose data.

FAQ

VDI, answered.

Which desktops can AnvesionTech VDI deliver?
Both Windows and Linux desktops. Run Windows pools for office and line-of-business work and Linux pools for developers and engineers, side by side from one console — as pooled, dedicated or multi-session desktops, or as published applications.
What is the difference between pooled and dedicated desktops?
Pooled (non-persistent) desktops come from a shared pool and reset to a clean golden image at logoff, so every session starts fresh while user profiles and home folders follow the user. Dedicated (persistent) desktops are assigned to one user and keep their apps and settings between sessions.
Can users connect from a browser without installing anything?
Yes. Users can connect from a modern browser over HTML5 with no client install, or use the native client where they need features such as multi-monitor and USB redirection.
Where does our data live?
In your own data centre. AnvesionTech VDI is self-hosted on your servers and only encrypted screen pixels travel to the endpoint, so files and data never land on the device. That makes it a fit for on-premise VDI in India and anywhere data must stay under your control.
Does AnvesionTech VDI support GPU-accelerated desktops?
Yes. You can build GPU-backed desktop pools using vGPU or GPU passthrough on your hosts, for design, CAD, media and other graphics-heavy workloads.
Does it work with thin clients?
Yes. Users can connect from thin clients and repurposed PCs. SecureOS, the AnvesionTech immutable Linux OS, turns them into locked-down VDI endpoints that are managed centrally.
